Out With the Old, In With the New

Okay, before we talk about this STUNNING front door, I have to ask... did you catch that pun in the title?

OUT with the old and IN with the new? Because you go in and out of doors, and it's a new door?? Haha!

Alright now that I've hopefully got your attention with that terribly bad joke, let's get to the point of why you're here. Pictured above is after the installation of the beautiful Mahogany finish fiberglass door (yes I said fiberglass). This is the Pella Architect Series Premium Fiberglass Entry Door which was created to mimic the look and feel of actual wood.

And here is a side by side before and after of the small remodel. The pre existing white door really blended into the white brick home that was surrounding it. Also the glass storm door looked a tad outdated. With the rich mahogany color of the new door, it really sticks out while complimenting the brick around it. There is also a retractable screen door built in! (Not pictured)

Now let's check out the inside of this project..

Here is an interior view of the entry door. This door is actual pretty cool because although you can't see it, it has what Pella calls a multipoint locking system. There is not only one latch like you would see on a regular door, but three! There is one by the door knob of course, then one at the top and one at the bottom of the door. This makes for an extra safe and sealed door. See below for a visual.
